Lightshot Screenshot App Reviews

It slows down my Safari

When I have any screenshots opened in my Safari browser, it starts working slowly.

Not working

It just does not work properly, magnifying the scree and distorting it

applicazione lightshot screenshot

per me sta funzionando benissimo con mac pro, utilissimo

Finally a freeze-frame screenshot.

After using Greenshot for Windows, I looked for something similar for Mac earlier this year. I didnt like how all the mac screenshot capture/editors always had a live view of the selection. I do a lot of screenshots for web design and mockup and wanted an app that would freeze the screen before making any selections -- perfect when wanting to use a screenshot with a particular animating slide for instance, instead of having to wait and hope that you snapped it at the right time. Pros: - FREE! - Simple to use. - Freeze-frame capture. - Social options. Cons: - No image quality control, no file format selection, nor download options [auto-save/copy, screenshot folder] - No client-side annotation (instead it links to a web service that allows you to do that) - GUI aesthetic feels dated and rough; since this is free, I wouldnt say its terrible as it still is functional, but alongside polished mac apps it clearly lacks the fine polish that makes Mac apps pop. Bugs: - When using dual monitor, a freeze-frame capture of both monitors are squeezed into one, making this particular app a bit useless for now.

V.nice

awesome and easy to use :)

Not working on MBP Retina

Seems this app needs some work to be compatible with the MBP w/ Retina display. When I tried it the app would "see" my screen with a huge maginifcation. Consequently the app took magnified screenshots with a big offset from the area that was intended to be captured.

Slick App!

Easier to use than the more functional Skitch app; this does just what I need!

Glitchy with little editing functionality

I have this installed on my Macbook Air and have found it to be buggy. When I take a screenshot it has hung there, blacking out my screen, for several seconds on more than one occasion. It works good enough but not the ideal tool as it also lacks important editing functions like arrows, square or round outliners. The pencil feature allows you to circle and point things out but its messy and annoying. The editor also opens up in a web browser vs. the app which is disruptive. I am still searching for a great, well priced, screen app.

Buggy

Doesnt seem to support multiple monitors. When I go into screenshot mode, it stretches my main display out across both displays. Then, the screenshot area "uncovers" the "real" screen as you drag. So strange.

Great, simple, very nice app.

The app i was look for. thank u.

No dual-monitor *dealbreaker*

No support for dual monitors. It "stretches" monitor 1 to monitor 2, a decent screenshot cant be achieved.

NO multiple monitor support under MAc

I used Lightshoot long time under windows. Everything was working fine. When I moved to mac - no support for multiple monitors. For those who uses 2 monitors ( I would asume 50%) - no reason to download it. I actually dont mind to pay for it. Just add support. I put 2 stars. Add multiple monitors support - I will 5 star it.

Multiple Monitor

Is one of the better screen shot apps, but with out the use of mulitple monitors, i cant use it anymore.

Doesnt work

When I open the application it takes a screenshor of me opening it, I cannot take a screenshot of what I want. Useless

very easy & simple to use !

i love that you added a hotkey to the options. , but can you add open at login option too ?

works well

Just the one I want, screenshots freely.

please go on

looking forward to speed improvements on retina macbook pro

Its Fantastic!! Except — No Hotlinking

The app itself is brilliant, however the URL provided will not HotLink — In other words, if you need the image to load inside as part of the HTML, it will show a broken image link. This is probably because the service is supported via advertisement, when viewing the images online. Otherwise, this little app is super - so bummed it wont hotlink!

Good Replacement for Capture Me

I used to use Capture Me for everything, because it allowed a continual floating window so I could take quick screenshots for taking school notes from video lectures. Sadly, and very frustratingly, capture me doesnt work on mountain lion, and so when I got a new imac I nearly screamed and cried at how much time was wasted using grab to make a tiff shot, and then having to open that image in preview, and resave it as a png just so I could drop it in my evernote. This app saves you a ton of time!!!!! Its the best replacement to capture me there is. IF you need a decent, and FAST screenshot app, this is it.
